We (Alicia, Joseph & Vincent) have decided to make a food blog to document our food experiences and share it with others. It will consist of reviews and opinions on food and what Sydney has to offer. May also include a hint of international food as our inspirations.
Our layout:
Essentially we want something clear and interactive for our users so they can be engaged and able to navigate around easily. Our passion for food is our main idea and focus of our blog. We kept it simple with the layout, with a white background to enhance the writing and red banner at the bottom to accent the blog. Red is known to generate feelings of hunger, like McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut has used red in their logos. We think it's generating some form of emotion and connection with our audience is imperative. The font is just in Arial to have it simple and clear to read.The poll that we've added is to have readers share their opinions, and we may in the future have blog posts about the poll. Furthermore, avid readers are able to follow us if they're interested in our blog to keep updated. The 'About Me' section is to know a little more about us (Alicia, Joseph and Vincent) but we want to keep it brief because our personalities and passions will be seen through our blog posts. The 'Blog Archive' is just for users to find our other blog posts easier and to show them the different blogs we've posted. It keeps it properly archived and it's simple to use. Finally the slide show we've incorporate is though keyword search of 'food' from a search engine, to show different forms of food and inspiration that other people post up, and also for us and the audience to gain inspiration from.
